Meet the founder

Hi I’m Imani, born in Canada, raised in Nigeria for part of my childhood, and now based in the Netherlands, where I’ve spent most of my life. Currently a nursing student my passion for helping others has always been at the core of who I am.

Growing up in the diaspora, I often felt a disconnect from my generation here. I longed for spaces where I could connect with like-minded young adults. People who, like me, were navigating their identities while seeking deeper connections with both community and nature. When I couldn’t find that space, I decided to create it myself and that’s how The Wnderers was born. The motto of The Wnderers is "IJe Uwa", an Igbo phrase meaning " Walk/Journey of Life." Each of us comes from a different path, shaped by our own experiences, yet through initiatives like this, our paths intersect, creating opportunities for meaningful connection, shared growth, and new adventures.

What sets me apart is my unique perspective, blending my experience in healthcare with a deep understanding of the importance of mental and physical well-being. Through The Wnderers, I strive to build a community where young adults can step outside, explore and grow together. Want to connect? Feel free to add me on LinkedIn.
